Got questions?

The answers are here.

When will the Christmas Trees be available?

Our Christmas Trees will be on sale from the Hoppers Crossing Apex Club sales centre in Derrimut Road, Hoppers Crossing for two weekends only.

Our store will be open on the weekend of 5th and 6th and the 12th and 13th of December, 2020 between the hours of 9.00am and 5.00pm only.

Will I have much of a choice when selecting a tree?

Our goal is to make sure that you can select the very best Christmas Tree – the one that suits you. The right height, the right roundness or even a bit flat on one side to fit into the corner of the room.

Whilst we do our best to ensure the widest range of selections, earlier in the day will give you the best choice. Mind you, our trees are so good it really doesn’t matter if you get the first – or last – tree, it will be great.

How quickly will my tree be delivered?

The popularity of our delivery service has increased significantly, meaning that we have delivery teams on the road almost all of the time now.

Your tree will most certainly be delivered on the day of purchase – usually within two or three hours of being purchased.

Can I pay by credit card or EFTPOS?

The short answer is no. We have tried very hard to keep the cost of purchasing an Apex Christmas Tree and associated services as low as possible. The cost of credit card facilities would have to be passed on to the customer, and we are determined to keep the prices as low as we possibly can.

Is there a multi-item discount?

The great thing about Apex Christmas Trees is that all our prices are as low as we can possibly make them. There is no ‘fat’ in our pricing for us to manipulate to offer pretend discounts. As such, out prices are fixed and can’t be discounted any further.

When will my Christmas Tree be collected?

Christmas Trees will be collected on Sunday 10 January, 2021. Our collection teams will be heading out on their rounds at 8.00am so you will need to have your tree out on your nature strip by then.

We will be collecting no matter the weather on the day. Place your tree in a place that can be easily seen by us to ensure collection. If you’re going to put your tree out the night before, be mindful of the weather – don’t let your tree blow into a dangerous situation.

What sizes do the trees come in?

Unlike a fake, pretend plastic Christmas tree, our trees are all natural. And because they’re all natural, they come in a wide variety of heights, girths (you know – roundness) and shapes – just as nature intended.

We do our best to ensure we have a wide variety of trees to choose from, however in general our trees are somewhere between 150cm to 200cm (or about 5 foot up to about 6 foot, six inches if you remember the good old days) tall.

And while we do regularly get trees that are even bigger, just remember that the standard house ceiling height is only 230cm (about 7 feet, six inches) so buying that monster tree might seem like a great idea at the shed, but may not turn out to be so great when you get home!

How do I care for my Christmas tree once I get it home?

A fresh, real Christmas tree from the Hoppers Crossing Apex Club will remain both looking and smelling great for up to 30 days if you treat it right. To help your tree to go the distance, follow these few simple steps.

With any plant that is wounded in someway, sap runs to the affected area to seal the wound. Your Christmas tree is no different. Once the tree is cut, sap will flow to the base to seal the wound. The best way to get the most out of your tree is to cut a couple of centremetres off the bottom of the trunk when you get the tree home. This opens the sealed base up again, allowing it to draw up water. Once cut, get the tree into a stand and water as soon as you can.

You must keep the water up to your tree – make sure you top the stand up regularly – and if you can, put a couple of tea spoons of sugar in the water as this will help nourish the tree. If you can, keep the tree in the shade or at least out of the hot afternoon sun.

If you follow these few simple steps, your tree will look amazing and fill your home with the wonderful smell of Christmas right through the Christmas period.
